Review of “Purushothamudu”
Storyline:
Ram (Raj Tarun) returns to India after studying in London. His father (Murali Sharma) plans to appoint him as the CEO of their company. However, Vasu (Ramya Krishna), who holds half of the company’s shares, opposes this decision. To become CEO, Ram agrees to live as an ordinary person for 100 days. The film follows Ram’s journey, the challenges he faces, and whether he ultimately becomes CEO, along with Ammulu’s (Hasini Sudheer) impact on his life.
Positive Aspects:
The film excels in its depiction of a wealthy young man’s transformation into a hero. The action scenes, elevation moments, and the interval sequence are particularly well-done. Raj Tarun delivers a commendable performance, especially in action sequences and key emotional scenes. Hasini Sudheer impresses with her glamour and romantic scenes. Ramya Krishna effectively portrays a pivotal role, and Murali Sharma and Prakash Raj deliver strong performances, especially in the climax. Brahmanandam provides comedic relief with his characteristic timing and mannerisms.
Negative Aspects:
Despite a strong premise, the film suffers from a weak screenplay by Ram Bhimana. The initial engaging elements lose momentum in the second half, leading to a decline in the film’s overall impact.
